Firewall

A firewall is used to control the traffic between the internal network and public networks. All the traffic can be controlled; filtered; authenticated; and logged. The firewall included in Zyxel Zywall 5/35/70 help filter the IP protocol / packet. It also provides DoS/DDoS protection and stateful packet inspection (SPI); real time alerts; reports; and logs. VPN

With Virtual Private Network (VPN) you can create secure tunneling via the public network to your secure private network. VPN is ideal solution for Tele-workers or traveler executives to stay connected to their corporate network from anywhere via the internet. It supports high level of security features for creating secure connection.

Anti-Virus/IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention)

Hundreds of new viruses are introduced into the wild internet each month. Your business network must be properly protected against any types of viruses. Zyxel Zywall 35 UTM includes the anti-virus and the IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention) which is accelerated by Zywall turbo card and Kapersky anti-virus signature.

Anti-Spam and Content filtering

The Zywall 35 also includes anti-spam and phishing prevention you configure with the white and black list as well as using the external database. You can also configure the URL blocking based on the URL keywords or by using external database.

Traffic Management

With Zywall UTM, you can manage the bandwidth usage based on the policy. The Zywall 35 includes two WAN ports for Load balancing. You can also configure it for high-availability with auto fail-over and failback system.

The figure shows a networking diagram of a small business using the Zywall 35 UTM. One of the WAN ports is connected to the DSL modem for DSL broadband services and the other WAN port is connected to Cable modem. You can configure the device to allow secure remote tunneling. Travelling executives or Tele-workers can access their corporate network from home or from anywhere via the internet.
