Sonicwall NSA 2400 Multi-core Network Security Appliances are next-generation Unified Threat Management platform with Patented RFDPI technology, fully integrated deep packet inspection firewall and Automated and Dynamic Security Updates.
You never know that your private networks are continually under constant attack from any types of Internet threats which are evolving continually. This will affect the performance, reliability, and availability of network resources to the clients on the network. When your small business is growing, probably network security is the last thing that will draw your attention particularly when you have no security expert to take care of the network. Hiring security experts to take care of the network security is very costly. It is therefore, implementing such kinds of network security appliances is a make sense solution for your small to medium business networks.
One of the central themes of security is controlling access to network resources including which users can access which files or services and how users interact with network resources. Basically there are two types of security threats: internal and external. External threats are typically coming from the internet via the entry point of the network which evolves continually. You must control this entry point by implementing a secured firewall. Due to the number and variety of developing threats and security vulnerabilities being easily distributed on the Internet, firewalls can never provide 100% protection against all possible threats. Sonicwall NSA 2400 Multi-core Network Security Appliance is single solution for your network security protection.

NSA-2400 Network Diagram
Deploying NSA 2400 network security appliances in your business networks that connect to the broadband (Cable / xDSL) internet is easy. Connect the WAN X1 port to the Ethernet port of your broadband modem as shown in the networking diagram below.

There are six Gigabit Ethernet ports available (one port for WAN) you can use to expand the network by adding LAN Switches for LAN network, or expand the network wirelessly by adding the wireless Access points. All clients on the network can be configured to obtain the IP address automatically from the DHCP server (NSA-2400 supports DHCP server).
You need to provide the IP address of the WAN port and the LAN port of your NSA-2400 that meet your network subnet. Select a static IP address for your Ethernet WAN. This setting only applies if you are already using an ISP that assigns a static IP address. Select a static IP address for your SonicWALL appliance that is within the range of your local subnet. If you are unsure, you can use the default IP address (192.168.168.168).
Note: The default user-name is “admin” and the default password is “password”
For corporate networks, you can also deploy The SonicWALL Global Management System (GMS) that provides flexible, powerful and intuitive tools to centrally manage SonicWALL TZ and NSA Series network security appliances configurations across distributed enterprises, view real-time monitoring metrics and integrate policy and compliance reporting.
