SonicWall NSA 240

SonicWall NSA (Network Security Appliance) 240 is a comprehensive security appliance designed for small to medium sized business networks or branch offices. The appliance integrates multi-core hardware including IDP (intrusion detection and prevention), SSL VPN, high availability, advanced networking, and Application Intelligence and Control, for real-time protection without compromising performance.

NSA 240 Sonicwall provides comprehensive protection against both internal and external threats including content inspection, application control and threat prevention throughout the network. NSA is powered by RFDPI (Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection™) engine which works in application layer to effectively protect against any hidden application vulnerabilities. RFDPI is a patented engine and is the heart of all Sonicwall network security to allow you manage local, remote and mobile network security in an easy and cost-effective way.

Redundancy Networking

NSA 240 Sonicwall is ideal for your small business and complex environment. It includes 3xGigabit Ethernet ports; 6x 10/100Mbps ports (configurable Ethernet interfaces); 2USB and PC-Card slot (for optional 3G modems).

For business continuity where constant internet connectivity is needed, you can configure the Ethernet port as the secondary WAN port and configure the port as the failover connection when your primary WAN connection is failure. And when your primary WAN connection is restored, the systems will failback to your primary one. See also the principle of server redundancy – clustering system.
