Performance
Samsung and Motorola use the same mobile processor NVIDIA Tegra dual core 1GHz with 1GB RAM and are powered by Android 3.1 honeycomb OS. Apple iPad-2 uses dual core A5 processor with new iOS 5. All the three tablets support dual core processor, meaning capable of performing two tasks in a time. Android is actually an open source software which is in charged by Google, but iOS 5 is Apple’s proprietary OS mobile platform designed for iPad with more over 140,000 apps available.
Apple doesn’t specify how much memory it contains for iPad. Both Galaxy tab and Xoom include 1GB memory for computing processes. Unlike iPad with iCloud, Samsung offers you Samsung Media Hub app which is preloaded to your Samsung Galaxy so can enjoy all the collections of movies and TV shows and other favorite programs instantly – the day after they on air and other past seasons.
iPad and Xoom are powered by Lithium-polimer battery which can last for averagely 10 hours, but Galaxy can last for averagely 8 hours.
User Interfaces
Both Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 and Motorola Xoom displays are equipped with slightly higher density of pixel per inch (150ppi) compared with Apple iPad which is only 132ppi. Your eyes will not be able to see this slight difference.
All the three tablets support dual band Wi-Fi adapter. This is ideal in connecting to your high performance simultaneous dual band routers such as Netgear Wndr4500 N900 router or Linksys E4200 N750 router. Both routers support simultaneous dual band optimized for multimedia streaming.
Motorola Xoom is equipped with mini USB port, but the other two tablets are not equipped with any USB port. Now, what a USB port is for if you can do any data transfer with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
