Cradlepoint MBR1400 a business class Wireless Mobile Router supports all the modem options including LTE, WiMAX, CDMA (EVDO, 1xRTT), GSM (EDGE, GPRS, HSPA, HSPA+), Cable, and DSL modems
In mission critical small offices that demand uninterruptable internet connectivity, a wireless router with load balancing or failover feature is required. With load balancing, you have all WAN connections to allow users automatically select the best line based on the load. Or you can configure the router to work with failover feature with one WAN connection works as the primary connection and the other WAN connection works as the backup connection when the primary connection fails. Small businesses which lack of networking expertise generally require an easy way to deploy Wi-Fi network that supports failover or load balancing. Cradlepoint MBR1400 wireless mobile router is an easy solution for small businesses.
What this Product Does
Cradlepoint MBR1400 wireless mobile router is a business class router that supports all modem options including CDMA, GSM, Cable and DSL modems.
The MBR1400 is powered by 802.11n standards to provide high speed Wi-Fi network which supports dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Unfortunately, the router doesn’t support simultaneous dual band, you have to select the band as required either 2.4GHz or 5GHz band. Powered by 3×3 MIMO antenna technology, the router covers as long as 750 ft network range and covering up to 128 concurrent users.
Dual SSIDs
Unlike the Cradlepoint MBR1200, this router supports dual SSIDs to let you create separate networks based on groups of users or Quality of Services. Many home wireless routers today support Guest network a simple way to segregate the network for your guests to get internet access with limited access rights. But MBR1400 can segregates the network based on the quality of service for groups of users. This is important feature in businesses where you create groups of users based on the critical role in using bandwidth intensive internet connectivity.
Multi-WAN
Any types of USB data modems and Express card data modems are supported. The router includes 3 USB ports and two Express-cards data modems you can use simultaneously for load balancing. Not enough speed with fast Ethernet, you can assure reliable high speed with gigabit Ethernet ports for wired LAN connections. The good thing is that you can configure the LAN ports for WAN to let you connect to either cable or DSL modems for redundant WANs. The MBR1200 version supports only one WAN dedicated Ethernet port plus one LAN port configurable for WAN port.
The MBR1400 wireless mobile router is very versatile connecting to any types of USB modems (supports up to 120 modems) including LTE, WiMAX, CDMA (EVDO, 1xRTT), GSM (EDGE, GPRS, HSPA, HSPA+), Cable, and DSL modems to allow small businesses to create Wi-Fi network easily.
