Cisco RV 120W is a wireless-N router which supports VPN Firewall & VLAN and is an all-in-one device that offers high performance, business-class features, and a simple user interface. The Cisco firewall combines a high-speed, 802.11n wireless access point to support up to 64 wireless clients; a 4-port 10/100 Mbps LAN switch; an intuitive, browser-based device manager; and support for the Cisco FindIT Network Discovery Utility—all for an affordable price to support your small businesses.
The router supports QoS (quality of service) high-performance connectivity for enhanced voice, video, and data traffic, ideal for today’s high-bandwidth applications. Having a greater control over access to business’s files and applications is very essential. The router supports multiple segmentations for different security boundary for different groups of users up to 4 different VLANs. In deploying the VLANs within the LAN network, you need a layer 3 switch to allow inter-VLAN communications. VLANs uses different segments (layer 3), normally you need a router to allow Layer 3 communications. Cisco RV 120W supports inter-VLAN routing, so you do not need any separate layer 3 Switch or separate router for inter-VLAN communications.
To allow branch-office connectivity and remote client access, you need to create secure tunneling between the sites or remote users. Cisco RV 120W Wireless-N VPN Firewall includes IPSec (IP Security) VPN support with hardware acceleration, enabling you to deliver highly secure, high-performance connections between business locations and for employees working remotely. To protect your private network (your business information assets), Cisco RV 120W supports NAT and SPI for network protections against any internet threats. While for preventing any security breaching and disruption of business-critical applications and services, the device also provides content filtering with static URL and keyword blocking.
